FilmBrazil targets business in Cannes

FilmBrazil will focus its actions to generate business for the production companies members of the association in the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, from June 21st to 28th.
With an investiment of R$ 1.1 million, the project, which is part of the Brazilian Association of Production of Audiovisual Works (Apro) and has the support of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency (Apex-Brasil), will travel to France in order to put in practice its Matchmaking experience.
The idea is to set meetings between FilmBrazil associate members present in Cannes and professionals from major agencies to explain the project in a closer approach. One by one, decision makers will learn about their works, options, diversity and many other attractions of the Brazilian production market.
PH Miranda, FilmBrazil project manager, says that Machmaking is a very interesting strategy for foreign professionals who want to know more about Brazilian companies. “These meetings provide information to a very selected group of decision makers that work with international production houses and agencies. They have no time to loose, so these short meetings provide a good first contact that requires a follow-up of each associated company”. “It helps to settle a network”, he concludes.
In February, FilmBrazil promoted a Machmaking tour called “Relationship Meeting”. A group of seven advertising professionals from different countries went to São Paulo to meet 32 production companies associated to the project.
